Respiratory Care
The Respiratory Care Department is staffed by Respiratory Therapists that are licensed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
They work under the direction of a physician and assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients of all ages, with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders and most often critically ill patients in the hospital.
Inpatient Services:
- Delivery of Aerosolized Drugs
- Oxygen Therapy
- Incentive Spirometry
- Flutter Device secretion mobilization therapy
- Newborn Stabilization
- Bubble CPAP
- BiPAP (short-term)
- Vapotherm high velocity therapy
- MetaNeb mechanical chest wall oscillation therapy
- Smart-vest percussion therapy
- Heliox nebulizer treatments
Outpatient Services:
- Electroencephalogram (EEG) Adults, Pediatrics and Infants as young as six month
- Home Sleep Trial (HST) Adults 18 yrs and older
- NT Suctioning
- Overnight Oximetry (ONO)
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Adults and Pediatric six yrs and older
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- RSV Clinic
- Six-minute Walk Test
