Vote YES to Make Cents for Healthcare November 3rd
On April 7, 2015, a proposed 1% sales tax was approved to aid the funding of Gove County Medical Center. The approved 1% sales tax will expire on June 30, 2021 unless you vote YES on November 3, 2020 to extend it. This is a continuation of the current tax rate. Your taxes will NOT go up!
Since 2015, the current sales tax has been part of the County sales tax rate. These funds (1¢ per $1) will assist the hospital in growing and provide an essential healthcare service in Gove County.

Why Does the Hospital Need Tax Revenue?
Gove County Medical Center is a not-for-profit organization, that does not have the reserves to meet all the funding requirements for operating costs, upgrading the facilities and technology. Any funds or services generated by the hospital are directly invested back into the healthcare programs, services, facilities and equipment to meet the changing and growing healthcare needs.
